Marine Corps Recruit Calix Hampton, a recruit with Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, conducts warm up exercises during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) class at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Oct. 3, 2022. The MCMAP belt system incorporates a building-block approach, while progressively increasing the difficulty of the techniques and advancing the skill proficiency and leadership abilities of the individual Marine. Hampton was recruited out of Dallas, Texas with Recruiting Station Dallas, Texas.
