The giant American paddle steamer SPRAGUE near Baton Rouge Bridge in 1947. It was built at Dubuque, Iowa Iron Works in 1901 by Captain Peter Sprague for the Monongahela River Consolidated Coal and Coke Company, Known as Big Mama she was the world's largest steam powered sternwheeler towboat. The vessel was destroyed by fire at in Vicksburg on 15 April 1974.
