Height, iy„ inches. 215—Rose-souffle Vase {Chien-lung) In the form of a double-gourd, or an ovoid jar with a smallerpear-shaped vase superposed and forming the neck of the with a rose-souffle glaze throughout the exterior sur-face ; interior of neck glazed in camellia-leaf green; underneaththe foot a white glaze. Height, iy^ inches. 216—Small Globular Vase {Chien-lung) On a short, lightly spreading foot, with slender neck and flaringlip. Modeled in relief with a decoration presenting a stork amonglotus plants, one stem showing the seed-pod. The whole coatedwith a lustrous monochrome glaze of pale canary-yellow, whichis carried to the interior of the neck and underneath the foot. Height, i% 217—Starch-blue Ovoid Jar (Kang-hsi) With short everted lip. Dense, pure wjiite porcelain covered inmonochrome with a glaze of slate or starch blue, of liquid, opaquequality. Diameter, 3y., inches. 218—RoBixs-EGG SorFFLB (Chicn-limg) Conventional form with pronounced taper and very slightly re-curving at the foot. Exhibits the curious glaze in a markedlyeven distribution, a great deal of deep blue intermingling withthe robins-egg green; of unctuous surface and dull luster. Height, 41/2 inches. 219—Smali.
