A few words as to the object of this is further from my intention than to min-ister to any impure thoughts or improper emo-tions. My sole aim has been to do good andprevent evil. My deep respect for religion andmorality would restrain me from writing a linewhich could injure this cause. But, in the treat-ment of my subject, it was impossible not tospeak with plainness. When a radical cure is intended, and the serum isdrawn off, we inject the sac through the canula, with somestimulating liquid, as a solution of sulphate of zinc, iodine,port wine and water, brandy, &c.
