Pfc. Samuel Pate, a Richmond, Virginia native and a wheeled vehicle mechanic with the 82nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, maintains the hub assembly of a Humvee in Zagan, Poland on Feb. 14, 2018 while deployed in support of Atlantic Resolve. Pate’s deployment is a demonstration of the United States Army’s commitment to the collective security of Europe through the deployment of rotational forces in cooperation with ally and partner nations.
