Cryogenic plant storage. Technician removing grape buds from cryogenic storage for regeneration. Various plant buds and shoots can be cryogenically stored in the vapour phase of liquid nitrogen at -185°C (-301°F). Cryopreservation is a way of storing plant specimens for long periods of time. When needed they can be removed, regenerated and grown.
