Jane Amelia Paddock married, Oct. 13,1847, Elijah Conner Phister, of Maysville, Ky., anative of Maysville, graduated at Augusta College,Ky., 1840, entered the law in 1844; chosen mayorof Maysville in 1847-8; Circuit Judge in 1856-62 ;member of the legislature in 1867 and 1869; electedto Congress in 1878 and 1880.
