So far asthe animal fats are concerned, however, itis clear that their value has been largelysustained by the extraordinary export de-mand which has been pretty steadily main-tained here for three months, and has takenupward of 30,000,000 pounds of tallowwithin that period. The export demand for tallow, olea-stear-ine and the other soap and candle greaseshas come almost wholly from France, andis looked upon by the best
