Window detail at St. Chads Church, Farndon, Cheshire, 20th century. Famdon church is dedicated to St Chad, who died in AD 672 and is a Grade II Listed Building. William Barnston was responsible for restoration of the church in 1658, as one of Charles I's close advisers at the Siege of Chester in 1645, he commissioned a Civil War window, to commemorate the Royalist defenders of Chester.
