Some of them have advanced prices of geraniums and other stock, Imt others cling to tiie lower prices, apj)arently feeling tliat better prices will turn the sales to some other source of supply. In some instances these growers would make more money if they wiiolesaled their stock, tliereby leaving the market steady for those wlio are cajiable of en- forcing higlier prices. Although the landscape men are busy, they have troubles of their own to con- tend vf^itii. Labor is at sucli a premium that it is liard to liold a man oven at $3 per day. Tlien the railroads are so congesteil tliat deliveries are greatly re- tarded. Kverything seems determined to go widiig during the busy period. Various Notes. A liandsomo store lias been opened at Tarentum Ity Arthur Godfrey. The meeting of tlie Florists' Club at the Fort I'itt hotel last week was short on attendance but long on interest. There were good exhibits of bedding plants. William T. McCauley, who has been associated with tlie A. W. Smith Co., has joined the naval reserves for duty in the moscpiito fleet. Joiin Doiiias and S.
