Iron street lamp on the New Bridge across the Tajo Gorge that dives the old town from the new.

Most pictures of the New Bridge at Ronda are taken from below the bridge looking up at it. This is looking across the decking of the bridge and shows the beautiful iron lamps that illuminate it at night. This bridge joins the two halves of Ronda that is divided by the Tajo Gorge through which runs the Guadalevin river. On the south side of the bridge, from where this picture is taken, lies the old town and to the north is the "new" town. The bridge spans the gorge at its narrowest, but deepest, point. It was built by Don Antonio Martin Aldehuela on the foundations of an older bridge between 1751 and 1793.
