The assemblage included art produced by the schoolchildren – Harrison was artist in residence at the school at the time. This was part of 1993’s ‘Art in the City’ and was aimed at setting sculpture amongst the green spaces and the distinctive architecture of the City of London. Kevin Harrison (b 1953) is an established British artist with a studio in London’s Bow.

A similar scheme, ‘Sculpture in the City’, began in 2011 with artworks by internationally acclaimed and emerging artists on display each summer. Kevin Harrison (b 1953) is an established British artist with a studio in London’s Bow district. Many of his public sculptures can be seen around the East End of London. This image is from an old amateur 35mm colour transparency. It will look soft and grainy if used at too large a size – a vintage 1990s photograph.
