Traditional cheese-dairy and cheese maker found at Lidoriki mountainous stock breeding town in Fokida region, Central Greece


Each region in Greece has developed its own varieties of cheese products many of which are already award-winners and twenty of them are under “Protected Designation of Origin” (PDO) labeling for distinctive, traditional food. In mountainous central Greece most commonly is found the very known "Feta" cheese and the hard salty Kefalotyri made from goat and sheep milk. Especially in Fokida region the dry Myzithra is the most favorite to locals. Generally the are many other types of Greek cheeses each one of a distinctive taste of its own.
