Description: This photograph, numbered 111-SC-38185, was taken by Lt. Strohmeyer of the Signal Corps. It depicts a section of a tent camp known as "Section " during World War One. The camp is located in Lecourneau, France, and was constructed by a French contractor starting in January 1918. The image shows a row of 61 combination kitchen and mess halls on one side of the road, with 5 similar ones for officers on the opposite side. A Signal Corps telephone line can also be seen along the road. This photo was included in the official issued report on January 14, 1919.
