A San Francisco native gets a hands-on tour of a Amphibious Assault Vehicle 7 belonging to the Charlie Company, 3rd Amphibious Assault Battalion, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, aboard the USS Makin Island (LHD-8) as part of static display tours, during the 2102 Fleet Week, Oct. 06, 2012. From Oct. 3-8, Marines and Sailors of the 13th MEU, I Marine Expeditionary Brigade, will participate in numerous community outreach events including the Italian Heritage Day parade, urban search and rescue demonstration, park restoration projects and hospital visits.
