Tongue with severe dysplasia on a 43 year old female patient after biopsy. A dysplasia diagnosis is made after biopsy of the oral tissue. It means that there are premalignant, abnormal cells that may progress to malignancy but there is no cancer. These lesions should all be treated and/or observed closely.
