ARABIAN SEA (Dec. 27, 2016) Chief Boatswain's Mate Billy Patterson watches as a rigid hull inflatable boat approaches the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mahan (DDG 72) during boat operations training. USS Mahan is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations and theater security operation efforts.
