A waist belt buckle for diplomats, prototype(?) Hollow-stamped nickel silver buckle with finely executed details, in the centre a rightward-looking National Eagle with rounded, downward thrust outstretched wings surrounded by an oak leaf wreath open at its top. Diameter 50 mm. An absolutely rare buckle, whose introduction remains unclear. This buckle is described by Angolia on page 118 of his "In the Service of the Reich", wherein the buckle is termed a "prototype".
