Display of galaxies and other deep-space objects around an educational installation of a cloud chamber. This device is used to observe the tracks of cosmic ray particles that continuously impact the Earth from space. High-energy particles ionise supersaturated alcohol to produce visible tracks in the chamber. These particles originate from both the Sun and from deep space. Equipment used on space missions needs to be tested to withstand the effects of such particle impacts.
