The National Archaeological Museum of Tarquinia is dedicated to preserving and presenting a marvelous collection of ancient sarcrophagi and other Etruscan artifacts dating from the stone age to Roman times. Most of its collection was unearthed at Monterozzi Necropolis. The museum is housed in the 15th Century Palazzo Vitelleschi, built for a local cardinal in 1436-39. Tarquinia, Italy.
