SAN ANTONIO (August 15, 2018) Capt. Maryann Mattonen, commanding officer of Navy Medicine Training Support Center (NMTSC) reads a 100th-birthday letter from Rear Adm. Tina Davidson, director, Navy Nurse Corps, and commander, Navy Medicine Education, Training and Logistics Command, to Blondina Porter, a World War II Navy nurse, at the Brookdale Assisted Living Facility. Porter was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1948, as a Lieutenant.
