'The Occupation of Brussels', 1914, (1919). Scene from the First World War: 'The capital of Belgium was occupied by the invading Germans on August 21. The troops, of whom there were seldom fewer than 10,000, were quartered in all the magnificent buildings for which Brussels is justly famous.
