South-east cell & stairway within the double drystone wall of Dun Beag Iron Age broch, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK: the cell opens from the inner court

South-east cell & stairway within the double drystone wall of Dun Beag Iron Age broch, Struanmore, Isle of Skye, Scotland, UK. The cell opens from the central court just SE of the broch's entrance passage, the stair leads to an intramural gallery & upper floor levels of the tower. The broch's circular inner court is just under 11m across, the double wall containing cells, a gallery and stairway is up to thick. The upper levels of the tower have collapsed, but the walls survive up to high in places. The broch is one of the best preserved on Skye, it was excavated in the early 1900s by Countess Vincent Baillet de Latour FSA (Scot).
