Crag Lough in Northumberland lies below the route of the Hadrian's Wall long distance footpath. The lake is overlooked by Highshield Crag (centre frame) which carries a section of Hadrian's Wall and the coast to coast footpath affording one of the most dramatic viewpoints along the entire length of the Roman wall.
