COOPERATIVE RESCUE 95 was an exercise of NATO in June 1995, with candidate countries Bulgaria and Romania that then subsequently participated in the Partnership-for-Peace program. The first part of the exercise with the Bulgarian navy took place in the Black Sea off the coast of the harbor town of Varna, the second part with the Romanian navy off the coast of the city of Constanta. 2. COOPERATIVE RESCUE 95 took place while in the Adriatic Sea Operation Sharp Guard was going on. Sharp Guard was an embargo operation of the United Nations aimed at Serbia and Montenegro, performed by NATO fleet units and the Weu (including Hee). Participation in Sharp Guard by hee was interrupted for participation in cooperative rescue 95.
