Vine weevil pupa, Otiorhynchus sulcatus
The dreaded vine weevil, Otiorhynchus sulcatus, is a huge pest in pot plants, the damage not apparent until the plant wilts. The larvae devour the roots before moving to this pupa stage before developing into the adult beetle. Quite cuddly!
