Laycock Auto Analyser 600 being used on an early 1970s Rover V8, 1972. Laycock Engineering of Sheffield produced this Auto Analyser in 1972 and a technician is seen testing it on an early 1970 Rover P6 V8 with an early 1970s Ford Consul in the background. This photograph hails from an era when technicians and mechanics wore white coats, if only for the publicity picture.
