And, finally, the Zoologist will be glad of finding in it a general review of the Adriatic Fauna withits singularly varied character, and of the agencies by which its distributionhas been determined. I trust that the Author will be amply repaid for the sacrifices he hashad to make in the production of this work, by seeing its usefulness extendfar beyond the limits to which its contents relate.
