Restored 18th Century blacksmith's. Interior of a restored c. 1769 blacksmith's shop at Daniel Boone Homestead, Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, USA. Daniel Boone (1734-1820) was an American pioneer and frontiersman who became one of the first folk heroes of the US. His father, Squire Boone, was a blacksmith and dairy farmer. The Daniel Boone Homestead was the birthplace and family farm of Boone and is now a museum.
