We have found it so in ourexperience. Mr. Kent was a butcher by trade, andwhen he joined Mr. Hilton in partnershiphe strongly advised the addition to thestore, that was then situated a short dis-tance from the present site. Mr. Hiltonwas inclined to fear that such a depart-ment would be more of a risk than anadvantage, but Mr. Kent held to hispoint, and finally succeeded in gettingthe co-operation of his partner in thenew venture.
