Tram on streets of Zurich in rain. This was a point where the trams went off into 2 possible directions, leading to more wires.
Zurich in Switzerland has a very efficient public transport system. We were there as tourists and roaming around near the train station, and saw these trams on the road, being used by local commuters to a large extent, on these tracks built on the street. There was a grid overhead of the electric lines that looked a bit unorganized, but I am sure that everything was there by design. If you look at the grid of wires overheard, they seem like a very large grid, but in this case it seems to be because of the multiple tracks and the divergence in tracks at this point.
