The ruins of King Pratapaditya’s palace at Shyamnagar, Satkhira, Bangladesh. One of the Bara-Bhuyans, Pratapaditya became king of Jessore in 1574. He fought against the Mughal imperial army during its inroad into Bengal in the early 17th century. July 14, 2007.
