DR. OLIVER, a physician of great repute in the days of Beau Nash,invented these Biscuits, 1735, for the benefit of his Patients. Athin, crisp, fermented biscuit, not sweet, containing a great amount ofnourishment in a small compass. The Biscuits are particularly nice, but to some it may seem thatthey are made only with flour, butter and water; but that there issome secret connected with the making has been proved by the manyattempts to produce them by the uninitiated, which have only resultedin entire tailures. The Oliver is peculiarly crisp, not sweet, and isgood either as a lunch, tea, or supper biscuit. It is stated to be theonly biscuit that is fermented, and on that account is good for invalidssuffering from acidity and indiges
