Some of this stone was in the construction of bridges on the GreatWestern line, but there has l^een little production since the time this roadwas built. Last summer 60 cords were ciuarried for use in basements ofhouses. The product can l^e delivered at the railway for So per cord. The Grimsby quarries. Brown, grey and mottled sandstones were formerh- c[uarried near Grims-by, Ont. Here, the overliurden is heavy and operations have been suspended,although a company was organized in ISIK) to work the deposits. (See
