HAKODATE, Japan (Oct. 7, 2022) Cmdr. Marcus Seeger, commanding officer of Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65), presents command ballcaps to members of the Hakodate America-Japan Society in the ship’s wardroom during a port visit, Oct. 7. Consulate General Sapporo Principal Officer Mark Wuebbels joined the meetings. Benfold is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
