A Roman helmet of the Weisenau/Nijmegen type, 1st century to 1st century Brass or bronze with distinct hammer marks on the inside and tinned exterior. Widely flaring, contoured neck-guard with reinforcement bands riveted to the sides. Long, heavily embossed eyebrows above the massive, riveted brow piece and two pronounced, embossed, stabilising ribs above the neck-guard.
