A pair of elephant tusks,Africa,20th century A pair of tusks of an African elephant(Loxodonta africana). The lower ends of the tusks reinforced by chrome-plated iron rings and filled with plaster fitted with receptables for quadrangular bars. Light marks of age. One tusk has a chip and a small crack in the region of the point. The other tusk partially fractured. Expansion cracks. Lengths 198 and 214 cm. Weights 27,2 and 28,6 kg.
