He was a g-raduate of Heidelberg University,a man of profound erudition, and a finished crossed the Atlantic on the ship, Thistle, ColinDunlap, Master, and landed in Philadelphia, August29, I730.() Rev. Jedediah Andrews says of him, Heis an extraordinary person for sense and name is John Peter Miiller, and speaks Latin asreadily as we do our native tongue. He is, saysAcrelius,(2) a learned man, understands the Orientallanguages, speaks Latin, discusses theological contro-versies as well as other sciences. Auiograpli of Peter Miller.
