Great solar furnace at Odeillo
Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via (south of France). The Odeillo solar furnace (54 m high and 48 m large), listed as a National Historic Landmark (French "Monument Historique"), including 63 heliostats, started operating in 1970. It has a power of one megawatt and is one of the two world's largest solar furnaces.
