Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching about to middle of frons, moderately scaled and slightly fringed with hair behind at extremity, the 3rd moderate, somewhat porrect; eyes largo, round ; frons sraootli; antenna; of male typically bipectinate with moderate branches to two- thirds length, the apical part ciliated; thorax clothed with scales and hair mixed, the prothorax with spreading crest; tibiae slightly fringed with hair; abdomen with small basal crest only. Fore wing with the costa highly arched near base, the apex somewhat produced and acute, the termen somewhat excised below apex, excurved at middle and oblique towards tornus; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; 6 from upper angle; 9 and 10 anastomosing with 8 to form a minute areole; 11 from cell. Hind wing with veins 3,4 shortly stalked ; 5 fully developed from angle of cell; 6, 7 from upper angle ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. Sect. I. Antennae of male bipectinate with moderate branches to two-thirds length, the apical part ciliated ; pectus without scale-fans. A. Hind wing with the apical area suffused with red dichromella.
