A painted lindenwood figure of Saint Peter, Franconia, ca. 1520 The bearded saint on integral shaped base, clad in a blue cloak over red robe. In the right hand a key, in the left a book. On the back side a moveable iron ring attached to a pad eye. Small repairs on the toes of the right foot, the right sleeve seam, the fingers and the book in the left hand. Height cm. Provenance: From the renowned Mayering Collection in Nuremberg, sold at auction by Fischer/Lucerne in November 1976.
