A 45 feet long Mosasaurus next to an average male human for size reference. Once fossil impressions found a dorsal fin on the tail of certain species of Mosasaur it is believed all species shared this trait. It is believed that it kept its front body stiff and straight while paddling the tail back and forth. The flippers would be used for steering and balance.
