A Cotswold Severn transepted gallery grave with an antechamber behind the entrance at the SE, a central passage, three pairs of opposed side chambers & a terminal chamber at the NW end within a trapezoidal mound. Heaps of human bones from many individuals lay in the chambers. The entrance jambs & lintel are "Blue Lias", the drystone retaining walls & chamber slabs Jurassic limestone all brought from outcrops over 5 miles away.
