The image shows the Stokes Trench Mortar Platoon of the 108th Regiment Infantry dismounting to prepare for action. This platoon belonged to the 54th Brigade and was equipped with 1 lb. cannon. The photograph passed the censor, but the exact date of clearance is unknown.
