Fezzing for a Fight
The Ottoman Empire aroused the Ire of the Balkan League - Bulgaria, Montenegro, Greece & Serbia and came under attack making the "Sick Man of Europe" even sicker as it lost more territory including Albania & Macedonia. The Fez hat worn by the soldiers originated in Ancient Greece and was adopted by the Byzantines. The exotic cap went into disrepute when Attatuk, founded of Modern Turkey abolished its wearing.
