The landscape artist Jacques Majorelle created this wonderful garden of exotic flowering shrubs, cacti and succulents in Marrakesh with the villa in an electic blue colour which is echoed throughout the garden. The house and gardens were bought by Yves Saint Laurent who eventually gifted them to the city of Marrakesh to be maintained and open to the public.
