Red, or Slippery Elm. Of medium size, and straggling open head. 75 cents. var. fulva pendula. Weeping Slippery Elm. A variety, of luxuriant growth and elegant drooping habit. Its branches shoot upwards at first, then bend in graceful curves toward the ground. It also retains its foliage much longer than other Elms. $ *U. montaua. Scotch, or Wych Elm. A fine spreading tree, of rapid growth and large foliage. $ var. caiiiperdown peiicliila. Camperdown Weeping Elm, Grafted 6 to 8 feet high, this forms one of the most picturesque drooping trees. It is of rank growth, the shoots often making a zigzag growth outward and downward of several feet in a single season. The leaves are large, dark green and glossy, and cover the tree with a luxuriant mass of verdure.
