Bullet casings encircle the feet of Capt. Chapin L. Jones, commander of the 350th Public Affairs Detachment, during the 9mm pistol live fire. Soldiers from the 484th Army Band, 350th PAD, and 368th Public Affairs Detachment conducted weapons qualification on a Baffled Range at the Army Joliet Training Center, April 24. Baffle ranges have barriers to contain bullets and to reduce, re-direct or suppress sound waves and possible stray bullets. Baffles are placed either overhead, alongside or at ground level to restrict or interrupt errant or off target shots.
