Two people are seen taking a photo of one of the flooded areas by the Waal river. The rainy Christmas Days have caused significant inconvenience throughout the Netherlands. In Nijmegen, low parts of the quay, and around the harbor at the Waalkade are underwater. The water level right now is around meters above NAP. (Normaal Amsterdams Peil) NAP is the base used to measure how high or low water levels are. Because it still raining a lot in Netherlands, there is a good chance that the water level will rise again at the beginning of the new year.
