Beaver use their sharp teeth to feed on the soft tissue of new wood and bark of deciduous trees when they ring the tree it dies

Beaver use their sharp, renewable teeth to feed on the cambium or soft tissue of new wood and bark of deciduous trees. They are the largest rodent in North America with brown fur, web-feet and a large flat tail. They use the logs of trees they have felled to build dams and their lodge. During winter they feed on stored logs.
